Y axis not auto homing

Hello, when I auto home my new printer 3s the y axis doesn't seem to home that way it should. But I can jog the y axis when I manually place the bed close to where the home area. I have made sure the pulley isn't slipping and the bearings u bolts aren't overly tight. I have also tried to adjust the rods and the rod mountings blocks. Also the y belt isn't too tight

Did you assembled yourself or was it prebuilt?

What mean in detail - does not home as it should? More precize description or video can help for analysis.

What are you figures of your belts from support menu? Inproper homing is mainly related to some obstacles on the head homing jorney like faulty bearings - try to move it manualy when printer switched off if the the movement is smooth without increased jerks.

I bought the kit and built it this weekend. The belt status for the y axis is 177. I have tried tightening the belt and loosening the belt many times but the belt status always says at 177. I can jog the y axis in the move axis menu therefore I don't think it is bearing or obstacle issue. I will upload a video of the auto homing cycle.

@leonajos

Whoops ! your (at least y) is too much tight. What the x belt shows? You figures should be arround 260 and higher - the numbers show opposite - higher tension lower number. So lose you belt tension to get numbers higher than 250.

I would advise you to look here the description what is happening during calibration when setting the home position. I guess even I wrote a bit about it. So you will find out why the incorrect homing.

looks like you were right, I loosened the y belt and it looks like it is auto homing. the belt status for the y-axis still says 177 after I fixed it tho, I will continue to monitor.

The X-axis is 255 and working perfectly.

I advice redo the xyz calibration which would reset your belt figures as well.
