X axis not centered on the bed
I am printing an object 237mm wide with a 5mm brim, making the total print width 242mm, leaving me with 8mm of margin on the print bed.
PrusaSlicer (2.2) shows the model centered perfectly on the bed.
However, the printer is laying down the part so that the edge of the brim is 1mm away from the print area outline on the steel sheet, and the left side is 5mm away (the white outline on the steel sheet is about 1mm wide itself).
My steel sheet is centered on the heat bed, with the alignment pins firmly in the indentation on the back edge.
I am concerned that if I needed to print something using the full 250mm print width, I will have problems due to the print not being centered, in spite of the slicer showing it as centered.
Is there some sort of calibration I can do to fix this?

Anyway, I meant the total print width with brim is 247mm (237 for the part and 5mm for the brim on each side). The question remains, though, whether there is any calibration I can do to make my print centered on the bed.

Forum software has a very short editing window. Get used to it as theres nothing you can do about it.
When you calibrate your printer it determines where the home x/y/z is through its routine. If might be off to where the centre of the bed is. Mine doesnt seem to have that problem so the following is what I would try if it did.
In Prusa Slicer, make sure you are in expert mode and go to Printer Settings>General>Bed Shape. If you click that button it allows you to define how big your bed in in X/Y but it also has Origin fields that let you define how far from the front left corner it should consider 0/0 to be. You could try adjusting those values and printing a small cube 10x10x0.4 placed at 0/0 on the bed and check its position.
If that works out right you can then place similar cubes in the other corners and try printing again.

@neophyl - thank you. I wasn't aware of that setting.
The problem is, I have to set x to a negative number, like -2mm. And then the slicer gives me a warning about the cube with a corner at (0,0) not being completely on the bed because it overhangs 2mm to the left.
My printer is still busy but when it's free I'll experiment with the calibration you suggest.

Gosh, it's been almost two years since I started this thread, and I don't even remember what it was I wanted to print. I know that since then, I have performed a full calibration, and I haven't encountered problems. I haven't tried to print such a big part, but I recently printed a part that extended from the lower left corner to the top right corner and I didn't see any disturbing offset in relation to the edge of the build plate.
I also adjusted my belt tension, but that wouldn't account for an error of more than a millimeter.
Neophil's suggestion to print small cubes (or just square pads) to check the calibration is a good one.

During calibration, the extruder head goes off the left side of the table and gets a crash alert. Before a print when the head goes around and checks the 4 corners, it is skewed to the left by 20-25mm. The print shown was in the middle of the board on Prusa Slicer. I am not sure how to fix this.
