Interesting. One advantage I may have is a really responsive router (ASUS RT AC3200) that's located only 10 feet away from the printer. I'm doing an Arduino project just now with a WiFi-enabled ESP32 microcontroller, and I've observed near instantaneous login connections to this router. Perhaps that's why the FlashAir is working for me. If you're addressing this issue for 3.9, be sure to test it with a really awful router!

When I format it to full 64GB capacity, with some considerable hassle I am able to put it back into workable condition again but anything else is simply no go.
