Self test fails at hot end check: "heater/thermistor not connected" AND YET the bed and hot end heat up and PID tuning works fine
I've disconnected and reconnected all the wires from the EINSY board, checked the fuses, flashed the firmware and I'm still getting the same result.

I don't remember. I actually checked amazon to see if I ordered a new thermistor around that time and I hadn't.
If I were to guess, it was a bad thermistor and I happened to have a spare one lying around.
