IR Filament Sensor Black C Chanel Broke

Top Side View 2

I was extremely dump and did not realize I just needed to flip my IR sensor around. I attempted taking the black c channel on the IR sensor off and broke one of the legs. Can it still work? Is there any at home fixes for this? Ordering a part from both Prusa and ebay say a month so any ideas of trying to fix without ordering a new part would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Either solder in a new component IR-coupler or buy a new sensor. I would prefer the latter, because the sensors are quite cheap.

Agree with Karl on this one: the sensor assembly should be replaced. You might find a suitable replacement IR sensor - but you'll pay more for it than an entirely new assembly. And Amazon has them with 2 day delivery.
