First layer trouble with specific print
Hi everyone,
I decided to ask for help because I'm left baffled by this problem. I'm printing the Gridfinity Storage Box by Pred, Printed a few already and the first ones worked out great. My build plate was pretty old so when the prints were becoming hard to remove, I ordered a new one. I kept printing while waiting for the new bed and noticed most parts (base, hinges, latches, handle) were still rather easy to remove, while others (lid and bins) were impossible to remove without damage... I checked the first layer and noticed the first layer was really sketchy on these ones. Always in the same two spots.
You can see the spots where the previous print was impossible to remove.
Here you can see the first layer of the base, beeing very consistent except for the place where I couldn't scrape off all the plastic from the failed lid.
Here is the first layer from the lid, it has an inconsistent finish overall. Some places look shiny and other matte, there are trails as if the print head had not lifted after finishing a square, and the very obvious spot where it appears to almost dig in the plate...
I checked the Z calibration and increased the pinda sensor grid from 3x3 to 7x7. The first layers on the base (almost full build plate) was perfectly consistent but still had big irregularities with the lid. Still in the same two spots. I received the new build plate and recompiled the G code in PrusaSlicer and printed the lid again with the exact same result, immediately damaging the new base plate and with the printed lid impossible to remove without damage...
I'm printing with Amazon Basics PETG, kept in a Creality filament dryer. My printer is the Mk3S+ version. I clean my plate with a plastic scraper and isopropyl Alcohol.
Let me know if you need more information, Thank you in advance !
