First layer problem

Hi,

I have some problems with my MK3s printer. After i had successful prints for over a year suddenly i have problems with first layer.Whenever the head change direction the filament curl up and get stuck to the nozzle growing it to a blob. For this reason i cant print supports.Ive tried to wash the PEI with isopropyl alcohol, with acetone and with warm water and dish soap.I tried differently Live Z and hotend and bed temperature.Does anybody had this problem before? I have to ask before i disassembly the x-carrier , maybe the solution is much simpler.Thank You.

I forgot to say that i have this problem with PLA and PETG.I use the presets for Generic PLA and PETG from PrusaSlicer.

RE: First layer problem

Clean bed with dish soap.

Adjust your first layer, start to high and go lower in steps. Print a big flat square or a few square and check if it works.

On the pei sheet, if you go to low filament will release.(powder coated sheet needs to go a little lower).

Bed 10 degrees higher helps.

7x7 calibration in the printer settings is better then the default.

I washed the PEI with hot water and dish soap (again 😀 ), but this time i used a dish sponge, i heated the hotend and used the needle from Prusa kit to clean the nozzle, although it came clean and now i can use my printer again.Thank you all for reply.
