Firmware is crashing every 2 or 3 minutes !!!!

Hello Prusa Research,

I just start a big print with my MK3S firmware 3.7.0 , estimated time 26 hours.

The print started normally and after 4 or five layers it started to crash. 😱

I heard the bed going back, the printer stopped, and the display had the message "Crash detected...". Then it stays warming up for few seconds, and then it trays to recover the print and continue. Well, this function works well, till even with crash the print seems still good.

Unfortunately every 3/4/5 minutes the printer crash again and again. It is a continuous crash. We would be at at least to 15/20 crashes till now.

But the object seems still good.

The printer never had any issue, so I assume is the gcode object particularly difficult for the Prusa Firmware.

The object are 4 quarter of a 30 cm circles, 5 mm thin and high 20 cm more or less. The fact that the print is all in circle, force the motors to sound like a music, and it is very slow. The gcode was done with SLic3r PE 1.41.3

This is what happen every two or three minutes :

You will find the gcode attached. Just print it and i less than 5 minutes it should begin to reboot the firmware and crash.

I hope you will able to fix it.

Regards

Roberto

Power off the printer - then manually run the X and Y axis stop to stop.  If you feel ANY sticking, you have a bearing/lubrication problem.  Bearings are shipped from Prusa with only shipping oil: the oil is NOT intended for operation and all bearing vendors recommend cleaning and lubricating the bearings with suitable grease before use.  You can try adding grease to the rods, but the grease seals will prevent it from helping much.

If there is sticking, it's best to disassemble and determine the cause, and lubricate the bearings properly while they are accessible.

Hello,

I add some more info. The i3MK3s is assembled by Prusa, and I had already added some grease on the rails.
However this morning is still printing, the objects are  at least 10cm high now.

What I have noticed is that since this morning the printer had no crashes while printing. 🙂

- May be really a Slic3r PE gcode bug ?

Even if I attached the object gcode to the initial message (for someone to try),  I can't see any attachment looking at my first message.

- Is something related to the functionality of this new forum ? I tried to add again to this message.

Regards
