Check axis length - Y failing after calibration
This morning I updated to the 3.9.3 firmware on my i3 MK3S, I’ve printed close to 32 hours of jobs in the last week so the printer has been running great. The first print after the upgrade it did a crash detection and continued to have a crash condition. I downgraded to 3.9.2 thinking maybe it was an firmware issue  - however it still continued. I did a factory reset and the printer is failing calibration now on the Y-Axis with a check axis length error.
I’ve uploaded a video of the process here if it helps -
The actual calibration starts at about the 1min mark

I tried moving the plate to the back and it still basically throws the error at the same time (after starting) regardless of the plate starting position another video here showing side by side of the two cases

I tightened the Y belt slightly but that didn’t help either.

Any thoughts?

the Y axis is not travelling full distance, the Prusa uses stall detection to identify the extremities of the axis, if the motor stalls too early because of friction, ubolts catching on the frame, lack of lubrication...   faulty idler bearing, idler bearing mounting screw too tight, toothed motor pulley rubbing on the motor mount... lots of options... 🙂

try moving the Y axis, by hand, and see if there is any obvious sticking point.

@joantabb

Thanks for your reply - I just tried moving it - I do have to give it a pretty hard push to keep it moving after it tends to give pretty easily at first push.

Hi Patrick, this has to do with X-axis. Make sure there is no interference between wires coming from the extruder and the rod. see picture below. if the sleeve is twisted, it will interfere with rod plastic housing.
