so far so good

I'm doing a .2mm layer height with some ninjaflex and I'm looking good so far.

extruder parts

Given that swiss knows a lot more about this than me, I'm going to trust him if he says you need to print some updated parts.  I certainly had to as part of the upgrade from the MK3S to the +.  That was a more involved upgrade than the MMU!

I can't say what earlier MK3S innards looked like(I got one in Nov 2020), but they definitely do release modded parts and if there are upgraded parts it seems like a good idea to print them and upgrade your printer.

About 40 min left on this print but so far so good.

all done

no issues.

I've attached your .3mf with the one change I made to do .2mm layer height.

Thanks

Ok Thanks for you great help. I purchased an MK3 in April 2020, had no issues whatsoever printing, just when starting to use this TPU.

I will have a look wat upgrades are available and how to deal with it. As mentioned, I am rather happy with it, don't want to mess it up just because of a bit of TPU issues whilst everything else works fine.

I get it

It's kind of why I'm not messing with mine after I got the MMU working.  But it's of course it' up to you.  The MK3S -> MK3S+ was a pretty big upgrade as far as having to print the parts ahead of time.  I personally think it probably reduces the mount of places tpu could fail inside the extruder.

Thankfully I have two printers so I can do upgrades on one and still have the other JUST IN CASE 🙂  I can understand not wanting to take apart your one working printer 🙂

Good luck!
