Slic3r PE 1.41.3+win64

I just finished the MK3 to MK3/S upgrade, and the last step was to change out my version of Slic3r PE with v1.41.3+win64.  This worked OK, but I noticed the GUI has some'issues'.

- there used to be an 'Advanced' view where I could see the list of models in one window, and the size & print time of the sliced model.  The 'real time sliced information' window doesn't seem to be available anymore, until after I select 'Export G-code'.  I really liked being able to see the calculated print time while I worked with the model, as I could change settings (like fill percentage, scale value and support parameters) and immediately see the impact on the print time.

The window that shows the list of models on the print plate is HUGE, and it apparently isn't resizable - what's with that?  I almost never have more than one model on the plate, so this window is 99% wasted space.

I used to be able to set the X/Y/Z scales independently in a nice, simple dialog box that was exposed by double-clicking on the model.  Now I get a totally useless 'Settings' dialog with a small, even more useless 3D depiction of the plated model.  Where did the nice scaling dialog go?  Now I have to click on the scaling icon in the plating window, then type in a scaling number which applies to all three axes - no way to scale X/Y/Z independently

Can I go back to the previous version of Slic3r PE, or is there some hope of getting a better GUI in the near future?

TIA,

Frank

Are you sure you didn't downgrade yourself from the 1.42.0 pre-releases (currently beta2 here)? The features that you lost in 1.41.3 sound to be to be the new features in the 1.42.0 branch.

Thanks - I feel much better now ;-).  I somehow got the expression that the version of Slic3r PE associated with the upgrade kit instructions was required as part of the MK3 -> MK3/S upgrade.

It's probably worded the way it is in the instructions to encourage people using older versions to upgrade to the latest release version. Those of us using the pre-release versions are taking our own chances.
