Replacing the thermistor!!
I want to replace the thermistor because its cable got damaged.I need to heat up the hotend so that to be able to remove it, but it wont allow me because of the errror 'MINTEMP' shows up and wont allow me to do any action on the menu.
Any ideas. Thanks
RE: Replacing the thermistor!!
You may consider a hot air gun (Mind the Plastic) remove the fan shroud to make more space available
Or disassemble the extruder and heat the hot end, in the oven, dont foget oven gloves, or welding gloves etc.

RE: Replacing the thermistor!!
I dismantled everything, bathed the heater block in acetone and had a go at it with a brass brush. Shiny as new 🙂

Never had one that clean after a clean-up. Good job. I strongly agree with cleaning it up.
