Numbers on textured sheet: what are they?
I have two textured steel sheets. One says TF-25 on the top-right corner and the other one is TF-26. Is this some kind of versioning, and what are the differences? They were both bought for the same price on the e-shop.
RE: Numbers on textured sheet: what are they?
I think it is batch numbers. On mine I have WA-11 (old very early version) and TF-26 (new - just got it). The TF-26 has a finer and better surface.

Mine says WA-15.
If I had to guess, I would speculate that WA is the code for the manufacturer or supplier and 15 is the batch or lot number.
Also, it's apparent that I got one of the 'good' ones, from the complaints of some who swear there is no way they can get theirs to work as expected.

The newer ones have a different texture: the old ones has larger gaps between bumps on the sheet, but the new ones have small gaps between them.

That depends on what filament you are printing.

@covertpluto
I like the new ones with finer texture as it looks better on smaller finished parts.
The textured plate for my Mini has even finer surface structure, but no "build number". I would really like that for my MK3s.

I mostly prints in PETG.

PETG works well with the smaller bumps. I have to agree with this.

@cwbullet
I am still waiting for the new "satin" version - been on the notify e-mail list since before Christmas...
Think that version will be my favorite for small to medium sized PETG prints, but time will tell if I get hands on a sample to test.
