Are there Original Prusa i3 MK3S Repairs in New England?

Hello Everyone!

I am currently an owner of two Original Prusa i3 MK3S's. One of them works perfectly, and I almost never have issues.

But the other printer has been a pain for a while. It constantly fails half way through the prints due to Heat Creep and other heating issues. My guess is its a sensor problem, or something along those lines.

Is there a person or company in the New England area that does 3D Printer repairs?
Or is my best bet, sending it back to Russia to be fixed?

Thank you!

Hi,

Have you been in touch with Prusa Support on live chat? They should be able to help you diagnose the problem.

The community here can hopefully help too, but it would be a big help if you can provide more information:

  • What happens when the print fails?
  • Short prints, long prints or all prints?
  • Any significant differences between the two machines that you can think of?
  • Has the nozzle been changed?
  • Does the machine pass a self-test?
  • Any event that occured that you can link to the start of the printer acting up?
  • Which materials are you printing with?
  • etc...

With a bit of luck you will be able to find someone reasonably local to you to help you with repairs. Sending it back to Prusa in the Czech Republic will be a pretty costly business I think.

Cheers,

Tim

I have some notes on troubleshooting such problems here that might be useful.
