Z smooth rods too long?

I am building a MK3. I thought I had followed the directions carefully, but the Z smooth rods are about 8 mm too tall: the end caps will not fit over them.

What are the correct lengths for each of the sets of smooth rods?

Thanks!

Jon

Re: Z smooth rods too long?

the Z uses a lead screw does it not? the rods are for X/Y Axis.

Use the shortest smooth rods in the package - if recall correctly, they're 320mm (Y is 330mm and X 370mm).

Make sure you push them all the way into their holes on the motor mounts, might take a bit of convincing to get them all the way in.

There are also smooth rods for the bearings to slide along.

Yeah sorry i posted that at work was in a rush, what i was getting at is the smooth rods are the exact length as the lead screws, you can use lead screw to measure rods and use rods that are same length, neither the x or y rods are same length as lead screws like the Z rods are..
