Warping on first print

I assembled the Prusa MK3S+ and all tests passed successfully on the first try.  I have had experience with 3D printers before including the Lulzbot Mini.

I LOVE the Prusa, but am having a problem getting the first test print to successfully finish.  I have tried multiple times, and I always seem to experience warping or complete separation from the bed after the first few layers - picture below of the MOST successful version so far (some have failed after only a few layers)

I watched the help video:

and also the Warping tips:
https://help.prusa3d.com/article/warping_2011

I have not tried using the suggested glue stick b/c I just feel like w/ everything I have read about the quality of the printer and results from other users, that really shouldn't be necessary <?>

Please let me know if there are any calibration or build steps I could try that might help. Thank you so much

Your photo is a little too fuzzy to be sure.  Please run the built in first layer 'Z' calibration and show us the result *on the print-sheet*.

RE: Warping on first print

You do not need gluestick to print PLA on the smooth PEI. Run first layer calibration and post a picture of the result still on the print bed.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!

Thank you both so much for responding right away!  I still don't see anything that stands out about the first layer calibration - I really hope you do!

It looks like I can only attach one picture, so I'm trying this one.  If you need additional pictures, I have taken a bunch. I also left the print on the bed or can run any more tests you would like

Thank you again!

Your first layer needs to be lower. If you see roundness and shadows it is too high.

Your first layer calibration can usefully go lower and there are suspicious smears on your print sheet; it needs to be scrupulously clean.

RE: Warping on first print

Thank you both - currently, my setting displayed prior to

"Sheet Smooth1"
"Z Offset: -1.040mm"

I will go lower (increasing the minus Z offset)

I wipe the bed before each run with CURAD Alcohol Prep Pad 2-ply, 70% isopropyl alcohol - is that OK or should I use something else?

Something I noticed while the printer is "Heating....", it displays  "Z   5.00?"  -> is that normal?

Thank you so much!
