Small holes in first layer where lines meet
Hi all,
I'm having a problem on the first layer. See images.
What I did:
Flow on the MK3 is raised from 95 to 100.
File is sliced with slic3r. First layer extrusion width is raised from 0.42 to 0.45 (could this be the problem?). Overlap is default 25%. Part is printed in PETG.
Anybody an idea what I could try next?
Re: Small holes in first layer where lines meet
im guessing its getting messed up from the circles right? can you print one flat one layer with no problems? I swear when it circles something it spits filament at a higher rate.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.
Re: Small holes in first layer where lines meet
When I print a simple square first layer, that is without circles in it, it does a good job. Sometimes I get small holes around one of the edges but not as much as with the circles in it.
Re: Small holes in first layer where lines meet
maybe shell thickness?

Re: Small holes in first layer where lines meet
I get the same thing around curves; circles, lettering, etc. wherever perimeters adjoin top/bottom layer infill.
I assumed it was just a glitch/quirk of the technology.
Could (hang on...) Infill/perimeters overlap (Advanced Print Settings) have anything to do with it?

Re: Small holes in first layer where lines meet
Yes, very possibly. I have Print Settings->Advanced->Overlap->Infill/perimeters overlap set to 25%.

That's where mine is, so it must be a default setting. I may try bumping it to 30-33% next time.

Re: Small holes in first layer where lines meet
I just went through my print setting presets, and I do have it adjusted depending on layer height. At 0.32mm I have it up to 50%.

Thx for the replies!
Gonna try that to, after I fixed my printer, while replacing the printed parts with the new versions I broke a cable of the heater cartridge.....stupiddddd!
