Right Z axis climbs higher than left

Finished building my Mk3S+ a week or so ago, but ran into a problem during initial calibration. When the machine tries to auto-home, the Z axis will climb, but the left motor will stop before the right one, and the right side will continue to try and climb, grinding against the top. The machine tells me to clean the nozzle, but I haven’t put anything IN the nozzle to clean.

Any advice?

There are two tiny bearing covers over the Z axis motor top bearings if these are too far down. They can cause the motor to bind

 Or

The POM nuts on the Z axis lead screws. Can bind. Try slackening the screws at the layer where the problem is and then re tighten them

And if you haven't already done it, try lubricating the smooth rods and linear bearings

Hi, thanks for commenting. I tried readjusting the POM screws (or what I assume are the POM screws) but to no avail. I’m not sure what you mean by the bearing covers; would there be an image I could refer to?

the small black cone, in the orange circle is the bearing cover, it is screwed onto the motor lead screw during kit assembly, and should be located just above the stepper motor bearings
If the cover is screwed on too far, it can restrict motor shaft rotation.

my assumption would be a cable binder with which you fix the textile sleeve for the wire harness to the extruder hits the frame (the part where "PRUSA" is engraved)

Because extruder is completely on the left side and the left motor does not go up far enough.

Having the exact same problem out of the box during the initial wizard startup. Even if I force turn the screw to level it up it still moves beyond where it should when running calibration. Any ideas?
