PSU (Black) does not mount flush to the frame - what to do

The ends of the M3x10 Z-Axis screws used to attach the lower bracket for the Z axis Right to the frame are protruding out of the frame by about 1.5mm and therefore keeping the PSU from sitting flush with the frame. I am worried to tighten it in case it bends the frame... what to do? Is there some reason for the PSU to be in full contact as a heat sync or as some form of support. Or can it be tightly attached but offset with uniform washers/spacers. This would avoid stressing or bending the frame. Best I can think is to add washers around the M4x10 Dome head screws (between the frame and the PSU) in order to be sure it doesn't bend the frame. Yes?

The screws (M3x10) should align evenly with the back of the frame. If they stick out 1.5 mm then you have tightened the screws too hard (remember that it is a soft plastic), or you have accidentally chosen the wrong screw length (M3x12).

@rhdreambox

I disassembled the Z Axis totally to check. Confirmed M3x10.

did not over tighten
this is a confirmed case of my Z axis motor brackets being printed with recessed holes that are too shallow.

I solved by finding the perfect washers and placed them in the Recessed holes and now the M3x10 screws are flush on the other side of the frame where the PSU mounts.

thank you for the reply. Problem solved for me, others who may need this should hopefully be helped. I used two small M4 lock washers in each hole.

You really should contact chat. Perhaps there's a problem with your batch.
