Problems with LCD
I suspect my problem isn't with the LCD, but that is how it is manifesting. I just assembled my MK3s+ kit and I'm running the calibrations. I successfully tested the fans and completed the XYZ calibration. I was moving on to the extrusion/hot end testing, and that's when my problems began. The startup screen and "sorting files" bar always show up fine when I start the printer or reset it. Sometimes I make it all the way through to the extruder pre-heating, sometimes the printer fails right after the files are sorted. But the LCD fills with a symbol that looks like an inverted H (the background is white, and the H is blue, if that makes sense). Then the LCD switches to show a garbled mess.
When I searched the forums, I found the suggestion that it may be an improper seated LCD cable. I have re-seated the cables and re-routed them through the Einsy enclosure several times, to mixed results. But I really don't think it has to do with the LCD cables since the startup and file sorting screens always show up fine.
Any thoughts? TIA.
RE: Problems with LCD
How about the SD Card, does it do the same with the card removed? Or with a different card, I seem to recall an issue with some cards?
I would suggest a reseat of all cables and check everythingis plugged in and connected correctly, if this doesn't work,sounds like possibly a firmware issue, but would suggest contacting support first via the chat on the EStore for their input.
Tank you very much!

@clarmrrsn
Thanks for the advice, but I think I figured it out through tinkering. I saw some other threads talking about possibly over-tightening of the LCD into the housing. I loosened the screws a bit. I also pulled the ribbon cables out of the aluminum extrusions, and one of them seemed to be a bit pinched. I was able to complete the calibrations, and I'm currently finishing up a benchy. Everything seems to be in order.
