Printer is printing thin lines

Hi,

I have this issue persistent since a long time, i ever changed my hot end, but i still get a thin print and gets out of shape as its not of the appropriate diameter.

I have attached the images, so that its easier to infer the issue.

Please let me know how i fix this? I also need to install the mm2s after this issue is resolved. https://photos.app.goo.gl/49gxi3XVV3xWg77e8

Z offset

You are way too high.  You need to lower your nozzle closer to the bed through the live Z or Z Offset.

If you these lines, they are not square-90 degrees at corners, then you know you are to high.

Look for youtube movies , on how it should look like.

Lower it bit by bit, then you will see it gets better. If do not make a 100% first layer, your model will stick to the hot end wen you are not looking and destroy your hotend, this very important.

To print in the furure, this important:

1. Clean bed, dish soap cleans the best(use a lot of hot water and clean a few times), after this I use alcohol a few times(use  a lot of alcohol).

2. First layer needs to be 100%.

Both setting are for sticking to the bed, and preventing the big ball of filament sticking to the nozzle.

And check forum which filament to print on what steel plate, and if you need to use glue stick, read more the forum to get tips.

Life Adjust
If you have not already done so, try Jeff Jordan's "Life Adjust" procedure for calibrating your Live-Z setting. It is much easier to use and understand than the onboard routine and much easier to make mid-print adjustments accurately with. In general, start high (less negative) and work lower (more negative) in large increments (e.g. 0.1mm) until the filament starts to stick on its own. When you've got your Live-Z setting adjusted properly, you should be able to gently rub the extruded lines on the PEI surface without dislodging them.  Then start lowering (more negative) the level until there are no gaps between layers. You should not be able to peel the lines apart after printing, but the top should be regular.

Need help in testing if my Fil sensor needs replacement.

@bobstro

I got it working, i just had to adjust my PINDA sensor :). But i think my Filament Sensor has issues, i had to disable it for prints to actually work, else it always prompts me to insert new filament, while its already present.

+ I recently added the MMU2S kit to the printer, back to the issue with the fil sensor, it wont detect the filament (set to 1) when extruding and keeps extruding without stopping.

And when i disable it again, the extruder motor wont rotate, and its just a printing action with no extrusion.
