Layer Shifting
Hey y'all, so I just finished setting up my printer, and after lots of troubleshooting, finally got it to pass the self test and to load filament. However, my first print came out a little wacky. after some research, I believe this is layer shifting, and I believe the cause is my x-axis belt, which is at 238 right now. However, after trying to fix it (pop off the back take out the belt, put it back in looser), I'm either too loose (the belt bows out a bit) or it looks fine, but then decreases in value when I check it again. Is there anything else I should be doing? Is it alright for the belt to bow a little bit? or should I also unscrew the motor a bit and do the tilting thing it said in the assembly? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Print something and show us the result.
Cheerio,
RE: Layer Shifting
Interestingly enough, I think it fixed itself? Here's a pic of the first real print I did that shows how bad it was.
However, after going in and accidentally tightening it (234 I believe), I tried again and suddenly, it worked?
Maybe I did something that, while fixes it, is temporary. let me know, thanks!
