Extrusion problems
The original Silver PLA I got from Prusa printed fine as well as PTEG - both with 0.4 and 0.25 nozzles. However when I tried a new spool of PLA I started having problems with extrusion. On new spool the motor started skipping almost immediately. I tried to select any idler tension but I failed to tune it in any way. All I managed to do is 'lost' setting that worked for PTEG.
I managed to print something with 0.4 nozzle but with 0.25 nozzle which I'm trying to use now I could not find a setting that works. Now I tried to find setting by more methodical way:
- Unscrew the idler screw to the max
- Load filament
- If it did 'click' the idler, turn screw a bit, ask to load some more and go to step 2
However I get problems almost immediately after finishing the process - I can hear 'clicking' on the first line, it stops extruding soon after if I don't stop the print and filament has marks on it. I have no idea what to do.
I check the idler and motor for loose filament but I could not find any (I cleaned it anyway).
