External Perimeter Vertical Walls Flaking

On most of my initial prints for the enclosure (see more here: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-hardware-firmware-and-software-help/factory-reset-slow-extrusion-of-filament-95100-flow ) this has happened. (See image below)

I have increased perimeters and also increased extrusion width for external & default perimeters. At the moment, the print has improved quality 3x, although I am still having trouble with the external walls flaking and not attaching to the internal perimeters.

The next print, I am going to increase extrusion width from .45mm to .55mm; on PrusaSlic3r the external perimeters noticeably have increased, although we will see results on the next print.

For semantics, I currently have:

  • .4mm Nozzle
  • Flowrate: 115-120
  • Nozzle Temp: 250-255
  • Bed Temp: 85-90
  • Infill: 25%
  • Material: Prusament PETG
  • Room Temp: 75F
  • Humidity: 50%
  • Filament Age: < Week

Update:

Increasing perimeters only creates an onion type effect for the vertical walls/shells. The only other option I have not fiddled with is the infill/perimeter overlap.

Has anyone else discovered the same results or is it only me?

I changed perimeters to one and now we are groovy. Super strong Prusa Research quality part.

Have you inspected that volumetric flow rates are within normal PETG limits?  PETG intralayer adhesion problems are usually speed related.: print to fast and bonding strength suffers.
