Assembled MK3 problems

I unpacked the assembled printer I purchased and started to follow the setting up procedure. Unfortunately couldnt go far. The Z calibration warning (Bed leveling failed. Sensor didn’t trigger. Debris on nozzle? Waiting for reset) showed up. I looked this up in the manual, but couldnt understand a thing. searched this forum lightly and didnt get any lead to move on.

I then moved out from wizard to do manula z calibration. Now it asks me to clean nozzle. I am not sure how to do this.

As you see, I am not just a new user, but also dont have much clue on the technical stuff. Is there any simpler descriptions, or video clips on the technical issues?

Many thanks
Aman

Re: Assembled MK3 problems

did you have the removable steel sheet on? It can give that error if you don't have the steel sheet on when it tries to sense the bed.

If you've never printed with the printer, you don't really need to clean the nozzle. Just make sure there are no obvious blockages on the outside. Cleaning requires you to heat the nozzle and use the small needle from the kit for a simple cleaning. A full cleaning means taking the nozzle off, which is scary for a first time user, but not that hard in reality.

If you have mounted the spool holder back and forth, then you may also get this error.
The X unit collides with the spool holder when it is to calibrate the highest point of the Z-level.

Hello all:

First, thanks for writing. I was able to make this work. Instead of doing 'wizard' in the calibration - I did the calibration manual mode. I did the XYZ first and then the mesh bed leveling. I finally was able to print the PRUSA sign.

I am indeed a first timer.. so will be back with problems to share .. have a great weekend

This is happening to me. I thought about taking it off and sanding down the edge. Has anyone else had this issue and solved it?

Why not just turn it in the right direction?

I mounted it the way the book showed. With the spools hanging over the back side of the printer. So it clips from the back and angles from bottom front to top back away from you if you are facing the printer. But the part that clips onto the bottom part of the top frame comes out just enough that it catches.

Ok then I understand.
Your X-carriage back on the extruder is not properly fitted. It stands out too far back and collides with the spool holder.

Thanks, I will check over everything. It just barely grazes it enough that I think it would cause a problem but I have not printed anything tall enough yet. It does not stop when I move the x-axis past it with the dial, but it does graze it.
