RE: 1st layer problems

Sorry unable to add my text to the pictures above.
printed 4 copies of the drawing and they all missed bits or did not join the edge in different places. This makes me think not a drawing issue or they would all be the same.

my z setting is -1.438 build plate cleaned with plenty of alcohol and even tried fairy liquid as suggested all to no avail

any help would be appreciated

What are the smears on your build plate?

Hi the lines are scratches the items were so thin I had to use a metal blade to release them from the build plate. Thanks

RE: 1st layer problems

The first layer 'Z' calibration in the top picture is too high, not enough squish.

The second picture is not sharp enough to tell but in the bottom picture it is a fraction too low.

Try printing a plastic scraper, does less damage.

Are you getting acceptable adhesion with general printing?

Thanks I will try and adjust and put on another picture. Would  this cause the missing lines?  Also any idea what is causing the gap at the edges?
