Need Help!

I sent an email to Prusa but have yet to receive a response.

😳

  • I am having an issue. My MK2 loads Filament just fine, it flows through the bottom as it should.

  • When I start a print, it goes through the motions and puts done a thin line of test calibration filament on the side as it should, flow is fine.

  • Than it goes on to print and nothing flows, i held the filament and it does not move, the carriage makes a ticking sound.

  • I tried loading and unloading several times and this is a print which I have printed several times in the past.
  • Please help!

Sounds like your hobbed pulley is slipping.

    Things to check:

    1. Make sure it is aligned with the nozzle entrance (ptfe tube) and tighten the grub screw.

    2. Make sure you clip the filament to a sharp point when you load.

    3. Check to see if the head is reaching and maintaining temperature.

    Side:
I have read some users have success with lubricating the filament (you will need to google for the specifics)

    Addition:
I have no clue why you would have a feed slipping problem for print only when the purge line is fine.

Could attach a picture of above?
Maybe you are very close to the bed with the nozzle that it have a hard time pushing something out.

The priming line (if this is what you mean by above) should be fairly wide, at least the last centimeter or so.
