Is This Too Difficult for a Complete Novice?
Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Oreezy. I am going through the anguish of researching how to begin with the rabbit hole that is 3D printing. Just a quick question to the wise sages perusing this forum, would it reasonable for a complete novice with no prior experience to attempt to build the MK2 kit? It seems a bit daunting.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I had no previous experience of 3d printing, and I have managed to build and run my Prusa. initially a Mk1 then upgraded to Mk 2

the two main stumbling blocks seem to be :-
the orientation of the Y axis platform, and
the orientation of the LCD Cables...
on the cables, remember that you need to both, get cable1 and cable 2 in the correct connectors. and get the Rambo Mini ends the correct way round...
the red stripe goes towards the Pin10 end of the connector...

I bought it as my first printer and I built the kit in about 10-12 hours. After building i switched it on, and to my surprise the selftest, the calibration and my first print finished without problems.
I don't think it was very hard to do, if you can build ikea furniture, you can do this. Be sure to use the online version of the manual on a tablet or laptop, because the pictures in the build manual are just too small.

I would say some basic electrical and mechanical experience like building an R/C or other small diy projects would be an asset. Though not required in my honest opinion. If you have patience and are good with instructions you will be do great. The Prusa instructions and images are wonderful but there will inevitably be questions and I have found the folks here in the forum are awesome at answering questions.
If something isn't fitting right, not lining up, don't force it. Take a step back, re-trace your steps up to that point, and study the diagrams. With printed parts, there will be some clean up required. I found this especially true for the small holes for end stops mounting screws.
