Hot End Replacment

Hi Team,

Long Story short, a print failed, cooling fan for the hot end got jammed which lead to a jam in the hot end. While attempting to resolve this and remove the nozzle which I thought was jammed I broke it off. So I need a hot end and off I go to the Prusa site.

I could not find a new hot end for this Printer on the site but I did find the below. It is also assembled which would be great to save time.

My questions is, apart from the fan mounting, is this hot end compatible with the Prusa I3 MK2s?

From what I can gather it should fit but wanted to check all the same.

Many thanks!

Here is the link, I think I need the 12 V Version with direct drive:

Re: Hot End Replacment

Looks like the right one to me.
You certainly would get one from prusa.
Just use the live chat on their shop site ( lower right corner) and provide your printer model and maybe serial number.
They then will grant you access tho the shop where only the parts are shown which will fit to your printer model.
They are quite friendly and fast in my experience.

Re: Hot End Replacment

To see the parts in Prusa store you must be logged in !

If they still do not show, contact support, they will activate the feature.

Why bother with middle men ? Buy directly from factory:

https://e3d-online.com/v6

Choose:
- 1.75mm;
- Universal w/ Bowden ;
- Full kit - 12V (for Mk2) ;
- None

Or get the 12V (for Mk2) version of this one, fully configured:
https://e3d-online.com/v6-gold-hotend

For Mk3 choose 24V.

The link to the Prusa shop hotend for Mk2 is this :
