Heating Block damaged
Ok so I had a problem where I had a huge blob of pla melted on to the end of my extruder. When I tried to get it off the wires for the themistor and heating element broke off. Is there a replacement part avaiable, with new cables? Can't find a replacement part on your shop.

It’s a genuine e3d v6. Replacement parts are available from e3d in the uk, as well as other suppliers in other countries.

During a lot of reading i checked that i need a new heater cartridge and a new thermistor
Should i take the 12v/30W or 12v/40W

unless you use an E3D hotend with PT100 thermistor, the firmware is compiled by default for the following thermistor type (you'll find this inside the Configuration_prusa.h file of the source code):

about the heater cartridge:
for some designs e3d doesn't recommend to use the 12V/40W version.... but for our mk2(s) and the minirambo it should be no problem.
as far as I know, originally a 12V/30W cartridge is assembled and the pid values inside the firmware are ment for the 30W heater (but you can do a pid calibration if you take the 40W one).
