Calibration help please!

Recently upgraded to the MK2 and the calibration is killing me.

I've worked through several issues but I'm totally stuck at this point.

I'm running the Beta 3.0.5 firmware. I can print the below JEEP logo without issue when it is printed side to side, however when I try to print it front to back I'm having major issues with material adhering to the nozzle and causing the first layer to become nothing but a bumpy, scarred mess.

My print bed is perfectly level. My X-axis is level and perpindicular to my y-axis. The Z rods are straight.

I've been running a live adjust value of -0.550mm which works great for the side to side prints but will not adhere when running front to back. To compensate, I've tried a -0.600mm value for the front to back but it just cloggs up the nozzle and will not produce a decent print.

I've tried ABS, PLA, PETG but I get the same result regardless of material.

I'm thinking about downgrading to 3.0.3 firmware but I feel like this is a hardware issue.

Any help anyone may have would be greatly appreciated. I'm going nuts here trying to trace this down.

Re: Calibration help please!

That is well over-extruded on the first layer.

Your nozzle is too close to the bed on the first layer, looking at the print, I would think you need to raise by about 0.1mm.

Looks as though your bed could do with a good clear with IPA as well.

In the second image you have posted (Jeep logo front to back), the infill lines are outside the skirt for the second "e". I face similar problems when my X axis pulley is loose. To be sure, ensure that both X & Y axis belts are tight & the pulleys screws are tight.

Re: Calibration help please!

I've tracked my issue down to the frame sitting square with the y-axis. For the life of me I cannot get it to sit square. If I make the frame square, the y-axis is tilted. If I level up and untwist the y-axis, the z frame is not level or square. I think it has to do with the PSU holder not fitting the way it should as I purchased the upgrade.

Not exactly sure how to correct this issue outside of taking the PSU off and trying to remount it somewhere else...

Yeah, my PEI sheet is pretty much destroyed as well as I've been trying to sort this out. I was so happy with my i3 and I'm to the point where I might just downgrade back to the i3.

OK, so disconnect the PSU from the Y frame; you can always print a part to connect it up later.

Re: Calibration help please!

So I've realigned EVERYTHING and things seem better.

I've done a perimeter test where I've placed a jeep logo on all 4 sides of the bed. The two placed on the outer side of the bed (facing north-south) seem to not as decent as the two on the top and bottom (facing east-west).

What I have noticed is the outer perimeter line that is run first tends not to ahdere as well as the shape perimeter and I'm not quite sure why. If I decrease the live adjust I get a slight over extrusion when the jeep logo begins the infill....still not sure why that is
