Big part Bed temp

I have a big(ish) part flat side is 22cm x 18cm x 5 cm high.

I had the bed at 55C and it often lifts up with a loud clunk. Would it be better to:

- make the bed 60C
- start at 50 or 55C then go up to on layer 2 or 3 60C to prevent the plastic to look flatten.
- Apply glue to the PEI sheet and hope it stays ...
- ...

For PLA I use 60 degrees bed temp all the time and for larger parts 65 degrees. No lifting.

Yes for PLA,

But then do you get the frilled beacon style 1st layer ?
The reason I usually do the base , 1st layer, at 55C, then crank it up.

Philippe

I do not get any issues with the first layer, even at 65 degrees.

Peter

EDIT: Do you mean "fried bacon"??? Only get that if the nozzle is too low...
