Bed temp error, loose wire

Trying to revive my MK2 after two years hibernation. I get bed temp error, stays at 35, should be 55 (PLA). I poked with the bed connector and this was loose... assembly instruction didn't tell what this is and where it should go...

I build my printer from the kit, but that was so long ago...

You either have a bad thermistor or a broken wire.  I would replace it.

It was working fine (two years ago). At the moment I'm pretty confident that it just doesn't work because it's not attached to the bed at all... How is that thing attached anyways? I would look like it's under the tape, but it is not long enough.

Okay, I think I found better images from this than the assembly manual...

Let's see if I can the sensor back where it belongs...

And problem solved. That sensor has miraculously pulled itself out under the tape(s). Rest of the length was in the box end... so bit of unwrapping, wire pulling, bed unscrewing, tape removing followed. Managed to get the sensor to the designated spot, and attach the bed back together again.

Bed temp error was gone. 1st layer print test was only a marginal success, but that either beacuse the bed is still dirty or height calibration was knocked out with bed removing.

But it's printing again, after the few adjustments and proper clean-up of the bed.

I am pretty impressed, this thing was kind of abandoned two years, and apart from that sensor being detached everything just works.
