Terrible first prints
I received my new assembled Core One a few weeks ago and I cannot get a single good print, including the ones that came pre-loaded on the thumb drive, such as the spatula. See pic here of what was intended to be the spatula. I performed all of the necessary calibration steps and am extremely frustrated that I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with my brand new machine. Additionally, the printer head is repeatedly banging agains the sides of the upper assembly and ends up printing what appears to be in erratic motions, with enough force to move the build plate. Any initial tips would be most helpful.
There are fingerprints visible all over the build sheet in your picture - this might not be the whole problem but extrusions will never adhere to a dirty sheet - look up one of the hundreds of threads here about cleaning the sheet. Come back if problems persist.

RE: Terrible first prints
Hi Diem, thanks for the tips - I thoroughly cleaned the build sheet with isopropyl alcohol in between each of these print attempts. The fingerprints you see were there simply because I handled this one after the print failed again.

If cleaning doesn't help try lubricating the z lead screws and recalibrate the Z axis in the calibration menu.

OK, another clean with dishwashing detergent to shift residues that IPA can't handle may help. Don't touch the surface.
My next suspect is ooze while levelling; unfortunately your photo' isn't quite sharp enough for a detailed look at the extrusion lay.
BUT: if a new built machine is behaving erratically the best first resort is Prusa's support chat. Log into your shop account and select chat from there; they may ask for the serial number of your printer.
