Replacement Frame
Hey everyone,
So I bought the upgrade package for the MK1 to MK2 and found out half way through assembling that Prusa and Original Prusa are two different things (I'm still a noob at this whole 3D printing thing). Going through what I have, I can still make the Original Prusa MK2, but I need the frame for it because the new print bed is too big for my fake Prusa frame.
I see that it is sold on the website, but it hasn't been available for several weeks. Could someone provide a link to an alternate frame of the same size or a CAD file of the same size?

It's not only the frame you will need.
RAMBo, possibly LCD, some metalwork and maybe PSU. The upgrade kit is designed only for the "Original" Mk1.

The RepRap Prusa I got actually included almost everything needed minus a few odds and ends I can get at the hardware store. The frame is the most important thing that needs to change.
Also, the RAMBo board is just the Arduino and Ramps in once singular board. Is the code not compatible between the two?

No. The Prusa version of Marlin will not work with Arduino/RAMPS; much of that code has been stripped out to make room for PR specific code. And of course, the pinouts are quite different.

Thanks, I've been trying to figure that out. My wallet is sad, but I can get a RAMBo. That still leave the frame though. I'd be willing to buy it from Prusa Research, but it has been unavailable for the several weeks (and probably longer than that).
Is there an alternate place I can get the frame or do I start poke people in the info's email?

Just to be exact - you will have to get Rambo mini. MK2 firmware will *not* work with full Rambo.
