Can you show the completed upgrade, with a close up of the fan/shroud positioning? What was your upgrade path? MK2 ->MK2.5, MK2S ->MK2.5, MK2S ->MK2.5S etc.,?

What material were you printing and which plate? Temps?

@billcampbell

My upgrade path was mk2s to mk2.5s. I was printing pla at 200 °C and bed at 60 °C, plate was powder coated spring steel sheet

When thermostat problems develop, they are rarely dramatic events with sparks flying, or where smoke alarms sound. Most thermostat malfunctions cause subtle or sudden changes in the performance of your cooling system.

@dolorescole1943

Unless I touch the wires with metal, I rarely see sparks.
