MK2.5S / 3.10.1: "FIRMWARE CRASH"
Hello all,
on my MK2.5S with firmware 3.10.1 I recently get an error message.
I have just removed the filament via "Unload".
However, the next time I switched on, I got the following error message:
FIRMWARE CRASH!
Crash reason:
Watchdog timeout
A reload of the firmware was no problem, but the error message persists.
Where can I start looking for the error?
Thanks for your help, Peter
Best regards, Peter
RE: MK2.5S / 3.10.1: "FIRMWARE CRASH"
After a chat with Prusa support, the recommendation was to flash firmware version 3.9.3. The error message disappeared.
When flashing version 3.10.1 again, the error message was back.
What is the reason for this? 3.10.1 has worked for me since 01/22 without any problems.
Best regards, Peter
RE: MK2.5S / 3.10.1: "FIRMWARE CRASH"
I have the same problem with v3.10.1. Powered up the printer today and "FIRMWARE CRASH! Crash Reason: Watchdog Timeout error" is displayed. Power cycles do not fix it. Printer has been working fine, ran a 14-hour job 2 days ago. Pushing the menu select knob displayed the normal menu and it appears to be working otherwise. I am running a 5-hour print to see if it has any impact other than an annoyance on startup. I also have the MMU2S installed (v1.0.6).

I also have this problem with 3.10.1 and like you, it used to work fine.
RE: MK2.5S / 3.10.1: "FIRMWARE CRASH"
Even after flashing 3.11, I got the error message. Going back to 3.10, everything works fine. Strange.
Best regards, Peter
RE: MK2.5S / 3.11.0: "FIRMWARE CRASH"
Exactly the same problem. Many days of fine operation and then this when I booted up this morning "Watchdog Crash"
RE: MK2.5S / 3.10.1: "FIRMWARE CRASH"
Same here. Reverted back to 3.9.3 without factory reset and everything works fine.
Curious thing is that it worked for a while with the newer firmware. I hadn't used it for a few weeks and got this error on first power up.
