VFA's (Vertical Fine Artifacts) After MK2 to MK2.5s Upgrade. What to do?
Hi all,
Struggling with VFA's and it seems mostly the Y axis. I am reading that this may be caused by resonance in the steppers and I guess is an issue with the MK3 series.
This printer was originally an MK2 and printed great. After upgrading to MK2.5s I now have the issues described.
Is the best/easiest solution to replace the X/Y steppers with a better one and see how it does?
I read that using a 0.9 stepper is better but I really don't want to get into modifying firmware myself!
Here is are two picture showing the issue. One is the print and the other is showing the orientation on the bed so you can see what surfaces were X axis and which were Y.
