Live Z won't go greater than +0.000

I put my smooth sheet on today and discovered that I need to change my live Z by a large amount.  I started about -0.550 and raised it to 0.000 and I'm still too low.  For some reason I can't get my Z to go above 0.  I know I used to be able to do this in the past, has there been a change in firmware to prevent this?  I really don't want to have to move my Pinda probe.  Is there some setting I don't know about?  I'm running firmware 3.10, I upgraded before I wrote this message and it's the same I saw on 3.9.

Thanks

AFAIK live-Z could never go above 0. You will need to move your PINDA.

When I got my printer 5 years ago it could go over 0, now it can't, when did this change?  Is there a way to unlock it to go above 0?
