the fact that the MK4 was ready to ship the moment it was announced speaks volumes on why the XLs development was so troubled.  They were working on two printers the whole time. And it looks like nearly every part of one printer had to fit inside the other, a non-trivial design restriction to put on your team. Impressive engineering and development work from the Prusa team!

They Pretty much had to upgrade the i3 with what bambu labs has on the market now. And while yes, you can still get more printer with less money from them, I'd say Prusa has earned it what with there awesome Reputation, Support, and Commitment to open-source. Bambu still has allot of work to do if they want to earn that.
