RE: dimensions of the XL

Thanks but that is not the dimension I'm looking for. I like to know the dimension of the bottom part, i.e. between the feet without the display and power supply sticking out.

Hopefully someone from the Prusa team that can reply? It's quite simple dimension to add to the drawing.

I doubt you will get a response.  I have seen very few questions answered by the Prusa Team on this forum.

The print would take so long that something bad is certain to ruin the print before completion. It is easier for me to make smaller printers and more moving hotends. Elimination of purge blocks makes the tool changer a far superior approach when compared to what I have been designing with MMU filament selectors.

What an interesting problem. Could you put multiple hotends on a bar (i.e. no independent motion), build a printer with a really long x axis and swap the whole bar manually for another one preheated and loaded with another color ? That way you lose only one specimen if a hotend clogs, and you can send the same gcode to everything at once. Are you using airbrush nozzles?

Measuring on my monitor the lengths of that part and the upper depth (77.5 cm ), the dimension you want to know is 53.5 cm. That is, if the drawing supplied by Prusa is made to an exact scale. Also, consider what is written at the bottom right of the picture: " work in progress, dimensions may change in the future ".

So, no positive answer at the moment but, unless they make significant changes on the final design of the frame,  I'd be surprised if the final figure isn't within 2-3 cmt of 53.5.

No one will be able to answer this on the forum because no one has one.  Contact the shop via Chat and maybe they can help you.

The number of heads does not affect the width of the printer frame.

The size of the filament spools can if you use the filament holders:

With out them:  800×800×900* mm (31.49’’ ×31.49’’× 35.43’’)

I think you both missed that WEIGHT was what was being asked about.

That is correct, but even then the number of heads does not affect the width of the frame.

@Selta

English is not my native language, so it's about weight while I thought it was about width.

Sorry my mistake.

And learned something again.

Thank you,
I have contacted prusa shop and the weight is slightly more than 30kg including power supply and 5 heads. The more accurate information they'll send to my email later.
