RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
Same here.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
FW 5.0.0. The connect and obtaining the IP address just takes time after the Power On in my case. After a minute or two, the WIFI icon appears in the grey and next it turns to white. Since that, both apps are working fine, of course with the terrible file upload speed. Unfortunately, there are no signs of the new upcoming FW version for the MK4.
RE:
This has recurred (or more accurately, has never really been fixed, but has waxed and waned... it was good for a while, and now it's awful again).
The current dynamic is: the printer is powered on, it connects immediately, and then about 5 minutes later, poof, falls off of PrusaConnect. It still has a network connection, of course. Then, it randomly appears on and offline again, over and over again, until I am done with it. It's offline more than it's online, though.
This behavior is totally repeatable both with wireless and with a wired connection.
Is this ever going to be fixed? Jesus, what a disappointment the Mk4 has been.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
(I'm on the 5.1.2 firmware now, for what it's worth)
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
I have 3 MK4 machines running right now and one of them is having this same WiFi problem. It's online now and showing up on Prusa Connect (which is an AWESOME tool for running a print farm) but for some reason it dropped the WiFi connection shortly after I sent it a print job this morning. All of my machines are running FW 5.1.3+13503
My 4th MK4 machine has never printed a part yet because I'm waiting for some replacement parts from Prusa. I needed to swap around parts between two of my machines in order to even get the 3rd one running. Now that I have some of them printing parts I am massively impressed with the quality of the MK4 and am content to be patient while debugging faulty components and waiting for replacement parts, yet if I had only purchased one of them and didn't have the benefit of being able to swap around parts to track down which components were faulty, I'd probably be pissed off too and complaining about what a disappointment the MK4 is. I am really hoping that the WiFi thing is not a regular issue like the OP is suggesting.
Does anybody have any idea if the issue is related to the printer hardware, my WiFi network, or the Prusa Connect server? Like for example would moving my router closer the machines help?
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
UPDATE: Well I spoke too soon there because shortly after posting my last message to the forum that printer I mentioned errored out saying that the file transfer speed was too slow. I guess it never finished sending the 64Mb file to my machine. I had to abort that print and scrape several dozen failed first layers off the plate which is a real hassle. I was not able to get Prusa Connect to successfully reestablish any kind of file transfer to the machine without restarting the hardware. I love the feature of just adding a file directly to the print queue but have had it happen to me several times now (on multiple of my MK4 machines) where the file transfer does not complete and then the job fails mid-print because it runs out of G-code. The theoretical benefit of being able to get the machine starting to print immediately is totally overshadowed by the risk of having the job fail on the first layer and having to ruin my fingernails and the PEI surface cleaning up that mess. Moving forward I will no longer use the "add to queue" file upload feature on Prusa Connect and instead upload the files as one step and then add the job to the queue as a separate step once I know that the file has transferred successfully. I do hope that Prusa can fix this issue eventually because the concept is awesome and the user experience is awesome when things are working as designed.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
This continues to be a problem. It's really never gone away - wired, wireless, doesn't matter. As previously:

RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
My experience is the exact same. Plus now I’m experiencing corrupted file transfers via Connect.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
This has still never gone away. Wired, wireless, doesn't matter. I turn the printer on, it establishes a network connection, I can work with it on PrusaConnect. A little while later, PrusaConnect shows it's offline (totally reachable in Prusalink). From then on in, it's offline, online, offline, online, over and over again.
I'm on firmware 5.13+13503 at the moment*, and increasingly accepting that this is just how the Mk4 or PrusaConnect is, and I should have bought a Bambu.
*I tried the 6.0 firmware briefly but that introduced a different problem beyond the scope of this thread so I flashed back.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
I have the same behavior with fw 6.0.1 and 6.0.2. It's interesting that I haven't experienced this before with any fw, only recently a few weeks ago. Prusa Connect is often unusable, it randomly goes offline for a long time.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
I am now at 6.0.3 and I have never experienced this issue so frequently.
I should say that I print very few times, so probably when I printed the PRUSA host was working well.
However one day it happened also to me that PrusaConnect suddenly went down, but it was unreachable even from the PC web browser. The site was completely down for half an hour or more.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
MK4S at work, having same trouble.. tried 6.1.x FW, now even 6.2.0 alpha.. always briefly online after restart, then suddenly offline.. Now the error says "refused"..but since we built it it was all kinds of errors.. The Connect simply just does not work on the MK4.. I must says, sometimes, even our MK3s go offline, but mostly can reconnect themselves.. MK4 however is unusable via Connect..
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
My system started connecting consistently again, I didn't change anything.
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
Two or three weeks ago, I was sending gcode to PrusaConnect and suddenly it become very slow, and stopped to respond. From a browser I could see just a blank page. So from Prusaslicer was impossible to upload files, monitor or print. Since this issue lasted hours, I switched to Prusalink on the printer, so I was able to continue to work. Probably the cloud infrastructure had an issue or is starting to become insufficient for the thousands of users that use it. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the printer firmware. 🙁
RE: Mk4 Unable to connect reliably to prusaconnect since 5.0
6.1.2 WORKS.. 6.1.3, 6.2.0, nothing-constantly offline ..only with 6.1.2 the prusa connect works!
