Alpha firmware question

My apologies if this is a naive question, but with the Alpha firmware loaded, can one still print with the non-IS MK4 printer in Prusa Slicer (mine is configured with both) or can you only print with the MK4 Input Shaper (Alpha) option? I get that the other one would print normally (without Input shaping, etc) but for some prints I would prefer to print with the normal settings.

Yes, that is still possible. The changes are in the profiles which activate the input shaper. The printer understands both. The IS profiles also do not cover all types of filament. So for a type of filament without IS support currently you still need the normal printer profile.

Thanks, I tested this and it works. The printer still crashes often at print start, so I rolled back.
