RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
I have exactly the same problems.
Most of the time my Mini+ doesn't even connect, but when it does it's mostly not responding. Whenever it connects and I successfully upload a file it becomes unresponsive after printing, to a point that I have to turn off and on the printer again, each and every time.
Also, the printer is 50 cm away from the router so that's not a problem.
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Hi, i am having troubles getting the wifi running on my Prusa mini.
I ordered the AZ-Delivery ESP8266 ESP-01S, which i think should be comatible.
After installing everything, flashing works but it doesn't connect to wifi. The blue LED flashes a couple of times but nothing more.
I tried reseating the module. Flashing again and loading the wifi config.ini again. So far nothing works.
Firmware Version: 5.1.2+13478
Bootloader Version: 2.3.4
Buddy Board Version: 2020 rev 1.0.5
I also get this message. (I always clicked Yes)
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Edit:
It seems to work, when i change my Router SSID config to SSID=prusa PSK=prusa1234567
Previously i had this configuration:
[wifi]
ssid = Redacted-Wireless
psk = #ABcdEFg1234!
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
probably because of the - symbol in the Middle of the SSID...

Would having spaces also cause issues? My SSID is = "Free Internet 4 All", but the Mini doesn't connect to it anymore. With the 5.1.2 FW, it gets stuck on the same page as cwolt.
Prusa Mini FW4.4.1

Try it. And let usb know

For whatever reason did updating to 5.1.2 and filling out the credentials from within PrusaSlicer solve the issue.
Try it. And let usb know
Prusa Mini FW4.4.1
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
If that is the case, then they should maybe mention this in the guide since having "-" in the SSID is not unusual.
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Hi, I'm having issues setting up wifi on my Prusa mini and I cannot flash the ESP firmware.
I updated the printer's firmware (bootloader 2.3.4 and firmware 5.1.2). I installed this wifi module, and I'm trying to do step 3 of this guide (Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > Setup Wi-Fi Module). This fails saying "Firmware flashing failed!"
Is this an issue with the wifi module, or with how I've been doing the setup?
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Hi looks like you choose the wrong module, from the photo it looks different, and in spec is written that it's just other chip there: SP8684H4 WiFi BLE Module ESP32-C2, what you need is ESP-8266 ESP01s module.
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Thanks a lot. Changing the module fixed the issue.
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Hello,
After upgrading to the 6.0.x firmware I started having issues with the wifi connectivity.
When I first start the printer it does not connect to my local wifi. If I reset the printer I get the prompt to start the configuration of the wifi module, and if I skip it it immediately connects to the wifi.
I tried to go thru the wifi module setup again, if flashed the module, I went thru the setup of the wifi but the issue appears again next time I power on the printer.
Any ideas what I might be missing ?
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
I have a similar problem. I've upgraded from 5.1.2+13478 to 6.0.4+14924 yesterday and cannot connect to my network ever since, no matter what I try.
Multiple restarts, flashing the Wi-Fi module, generating and importing the config file, leaving the printer idle for more than 30 minutes at a time and it just does not want to connect.
It worked fine on the older firmware every time. There were no changes to my network so I'm quite convinced the firmware update messed it up.
The only observations I have regarding the indications are:
1. After importing the config the Wi-Fi icon shows gray for like 1s and goes away
2. On each boot the Wi-Fi icon shows white for about 1-2s but then disappears and it doesn't even connect at that time either.
I don't get any errors, it just does not want to connect.
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
With the latest firmware (6.1.2) the issue seems to have disappeared for me.
RE:
I bought two modules from Prusa and installed one and am getting the firmware can not flash error on step one. Bootloader and firmware both up to date. I'm going to try the second one tomorrow. But from reading this FAQ, it seems rather frustrating that even using official parts that WiFi is not a solved issue.
RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Same Problem here. I´v a dash in the SSID an the module want connect.
Hoping that prusa will fix this bug soon.
Thanks

RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
Replying to myself.
The problem is not the dash in the SSID.
It´s simply that it takes really a long time before a ip address will be assigned.

RE: Original Prusa MINI & MINI+ WIFI Troubleshooting.
My Mini+ is on 6.2.0-alpha2+8702. The WiFi (web page, and access from slicer) doesn't work - doesn't find the printer at all or fails before sending any data. Does talk to the Prusa android app for status info. Used to work with previous firmwares, although it was always hit and miss whether it would complete any larger transfers (of bgcode direct from prusa slicer).
The mini is now inside a Prusa enclosure, which may be relevant to signal strength. I have a genuine Prusa wifi module (left over from work Mk4 -> Mk4S upgrade) to try, haven't got around to that yet.
Am I the only one having trouble? It's getting my steps count up anyway (up and down stairs too...)
Dom.
