Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
Hello,
I recently noticed that after completly cleaning my Prusa Mini (Cleaning the extruder gear, cold pulling), after 1 or 2 prints the printer would again start clicking and I would have to clean the extruder gear again. This has happend couple of times now and it’s driving me slowly insane.
I was wondering what was causing that problem, the filament can’t be it cause I recently purchased a fresh PLA Roll and it is located in a warm, not so humid enviroment. I have a slight suspicion that either there is something I forgot to clean that is periodically breaking the extruder Or there is something in the settings in Prusaslicer that I have set, that is breaking the printer.
Hope to hear back some ideas on what to do or what to fix. Also, is there a way to send your PrusaSlicer Settings here? And if so, how?

To send slicer settings go to file save then save as 3mf then zip it then go add media here on the forum.
Check your extruder gear screw the head of the screw should be flush.

RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
The Printer Started clicking again...
I have gotten the config and I can confirm that the Idler or Extruder screw is flush when no filament is present.
I found an article about this issue on the official Prusa Help Guide Site and none of the Tips were my problem. It's either a damp or bad filament, or something is wrong with my hotend. I completely reset the Print settings in the PrusaSlicer and still nothing (Only thing I changed is the Vertical walls cause it was making unnecessary infills that increased the print time. I linked my config in the attachments, maybe I have a faulty or old version of PrusaSlicer, Hopefully. I would say that the only thing that seemed suspicious is the hotend alignment or the faulty hotend installation. The Hotend seemed to be around a 0.5mm offset but there was alot of junk. If you want I can link a photo of it.
Hope to hear from you back!

RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
I just realized you said it doesn't extruder so I think it's something to do with hotend

RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
It makes this dotted pattern because the extruder gear is skipping on filament bits stuck between the gear teeth.
RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
Try replace it and see if that works

RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
Hotend looks dirty but ok and shouldn't be causing this so definitely replace or take it out and check it

I have to go to sleep soon but I'll keep you updated. Tomorrow I'm going to try to clean the Extruder Gear again and possibly realign (If that's the case), see whether or not the Filament is bubbling, and if all fails then I'm just going to replace the PTFE tubing at the Hotend.
Goodnight!

RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
Sorry for the late reply,
I Tried everything. I replaced the PTFE tubing, cleaned the Extruder gears, again, and Re-calibrated the Z-Axis. But still I still at some point it decided to start clicking again. Now I'm trying to print it with PETG to see if the filament really is bad and if I need to replace it. I don't think so cause none of the times I printed with the PLA it bubbled or made sparking sounds as the Filament heated up. I will soon post a reply on whether or not PETG succeeded in printing the part!
RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
Open idler door and make printer spin motor maybe it's a faulty motor skipping steps

RE: Printer Failing to extrude (Clicking)
Spin the Extruder Motor Through Settings?
Plus, I tried PETG and it worked the first time I printed. Maybe Prusa sent me a faulty Filament roll. I still have to fine-tune the Z-Height Calibration cause it stuck to the bed a lot.
