PLA stuck to the hotend

Help. I let a print go on overnight. In the morning I saw that the print had failed. Goobs  of PLA were stuck to the bottom and right side of the hot end. I was able to raise the temp and take off the PLA on the bottom, but the stuff on the side still remains.  Any suggestions?

I use a nylon toothbrush to remove it.  Heat and remove.

I would heat it to 250 or so, let it sit and get good and warm, and you should be able to brush it off.

i would then also search for the cause (overextrusion, bad LA values, extruder calibration...).
