Clogging midprint stops extrusion

Hello,

I realize, this is a common issue, but I still haven't been able to solve it.

The Mini clogs midprint into any longer print after an hour or so. A benchy is about as long as it can print without clogging.

Overheating to 250°C causes material to leak out and printing works as usual afterwards. Except it will clog again after some time.

I am printing PLA at 215°C directly from a drybox positioned above the printers. A Cr-10s with Hemera extruder prints the same filament from the same drybox without problem.

Steps taken:

removed filament sensor and disabled it in menu to reduce mechanical drag on filament

removed clog by heating to 250° and pushing the acupunctureneedle many times into the nozzle

inspected the extruder gears for filament residue (there was some from the chewed through filament which I removed)

Sorry.

User error. I had grabbed a role of PLA+, not PLA. Further increasing the hotend temp to 225°C leads to solid prints.

hw: PRUSA MINI+, FW 4.3.3 & Cr-10s w/ BLTouch, Ezboard, Hemerasw: PrusaSlicer 2.4, Windows 11

You have to clean the extruder gears mor. The stock extruder is not very tolerant of deviation.

Also, absolutely do not raise temps in this condition. PLA is happy around 200C.

Pics of your heatblock and heatbreak are welcomed.

Cool. My Sunlu PLA+ requires much higher temps just to get decent bed adhesion, so that makes complete sense.
