Change nozzle to 1mm

Hi Everyone,

I bought different nozzle sizes (0.6, 0.8 and 1mm). I installed profiles for the 0.6, and 0.8, but I was wondering if there is a standard 1mm profile. and if not, what should I take in consideration to put a 1mm extruder?

Thanks

Paul

1mm requires the hotend to melt a lot of filament fast ... unless you install a more powerful hotend it's going to have difficulty keeping up reliably.

Another option is to sloww down the print speed, but then your gain using larger nozzle diameter will be lost.

For filaments with lower melting temperature (PLA?) could work, but for others the heating power of the nozzle heating block could not be sufficient.

yes I'm using mostly PLA for the moment, so just putting the hotend a bit higher is possible. the only issue is that I can't find premade template for it similar to the template for 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8. Any idea where I could find this?

Thanks,
