Blocked Extruder Around Heatsink

Hi everyone,

I am struggling to unblock my extruder.

I have removed the ptfe tube (which was clean) and the nozzle (also clean) so my problem is somewhere in the heat sink.

I am unsure how to unblock this part. I have tried shoving allan keys down while hot, using the needle.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks, Will

I expect you will have to rebuild the hot end. You probably have leaked filament stuck in it.

The help site has many other pages to describe various maintenance issues.

The PTFE tube can shrink and leak filament where is should not go. You probably should replace it or you will be back to where you are now.

Awesome response Mark, thanks a lot!

I took it apart and some PLA was jammed in heat break.

Printing beautifully once again 🙂
