Auto Bed Leveling Stalls

After replacing the nozzle on my Mini, I attempted to run a new first layer calibration.  During the pre-print auto bed leveling the printer pushes the nozzle into the bed and the process stalls.

I did a fresh download of the 4.3.4 firmware and installed it (using the "alternate" method).  Same result.

If I reset the printer and use the Live-Z Adjust at the location where the auto leveling stalls I can move the nozzle to -2mm and still slide an index card between the nozzle and the steel sheet.

The printer does pass the self-test.

This printer has a MINDA installed, not a PINDA.   (I do have a PINDA from the Mini+ upgrade kit, installing that is my next step unless someone here has a suggestion).  Although, the light atop the MINDA does behave normally at all three sampling locations, before the leveling grinds to a halt.

At this point I'm baffled.   Any suggestions?

Prusa Support suggested the MINDA might be adjusted to the wrong height.  I reset the sensor position using this procedure:

That promptly solved the problem.  Many thanks to Marek at Prusa Support!

I omitted one small detail:  The leveling process stalls at the third sample point in the first row.

With nearly 200 views of this post overnight and no suggestions yet.   I've submitted the question to Prusa Support.  I'll report back here what they have to say.

Tried a factory reset.  That ends with a first layer calibration and the bed leveling stalled at the same place.  <sigh>
